The Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo is Israel's first public college which this year is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Since the outset, it has shaped public colleges in Israel, transforming accessibility of the higher education system and making it available to wide ranging populations and sectors in Israeli society.
To mark the 25th year since its founding, the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo is launching its vision of Academia 'New Academia', to bring about a more relevant, innovative and consultative approach to teaching, based upon experiential courses, applied research and socio-active involvement.

We chose to hold a joint birthday celebration, the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo together with Galgalatz, Israel's army radio station, who this year also celebrated 25 years since their founding and are also part of Jaffa's community. In a first of its kind radio broadcast, Galgalatz, known for its timeless appeal to all audiences created a platform for the pluralistic voices of the College's students to be heard.
Galgalatz celebrated 25 years with us, the founding of the College and the establishment of the radio station with a day of special broadcasts straight from the College lawn, attended by the students of the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo who told audiences their academic and personal stories.
The broadcast day was preceded by a combined digital campaign celebrating the joint anniversary of both Galgalatz and the College.
The event saw authentic and organic exposure, which brought together the joint digital assets of both the radio station and the College to mark a momentous and celebratory event. The anniversary celebrations were wielded to create significant boost in awareness of the importance of public colleges in Israel, and the Academic's vision of the 'New Academia'.
