In January 2025, at a well-attended press event, Lior Raviv, CEO of the Isrotel hotel chain, announced the opening of five new hotels the chain planned to launch during the year. This was a dramatic announcement, as opening a new hotel involves enormous budgets and is accompanied by many long and complex procedures with multiple professional and regulatory entities involved in the process — and here, as noted, the launch of five hotels was announced. Among the five hotels Raviv mentioned, the most intriguing was Kayma Hotel — an ultra-luxury hotel, the most expensive and prestigious hotel in Israel, which Isrotel chose to establish at the Dead Sea. The selected location raised quite a few questions, but Isrotel’s decision was supported by the chain’s values emphasizing Zionism and Israeli identity, alongside elevated hospitality and service at the highest standards.
In October 2025, about a month after it opened and completed a ramp-up period, Isrotel’s Kayma Hotel was launched in Ein Bokek, on the shore of the Dead Sea. The hotel was built with an investment of 128 million NIS, and with its launch, Isrotel brought the promise of super-luxury hospitality to Israel.
With iconic hotels such as Beresheet, Carmel Forest Spa Resort, Mizpe Hayamim, and others, Isrotel is the leading key-player in the exclusive hotel segment. However, Kayma Hotel redefined the concept of luxury hotels in Israel, with an intimate, precise, and distinctive hosting experience in which every detail was planned to provide a sense of calm, intimacy, and a unique connection to the environment — ensuring every guest a new standard of elevated hospitality.
A large number of journalists were invited to the launch event at the hotel, including editors and reporters from tourism and lifestyle fields, television crews, and guests of the chain’s CEO, who received a first glance and the opportunity to experience the hotel’s luxurious and unique quality — from the tourism, culinary, and design perspectives. Each of the filming teams and journalists who attended the event had an opportunity to speak with the chain’s CEO Lior Raviv and the hotel’s CEO Yair David.
The opening of the luxurious Kayma Hotel sparked significant curiosity amongst the media and the public, first and foremost because, for the first time in Israel, this is a luxury hotel that meets the hospitality standards of luxury hotels worldwide — but also because it opened during wartime, when public and media attention was focused primarily on the security situation, the return of the hostages, and the country’s social condition. Despite that, the hotel’s launch received broad and in-depth
Isrotel delivered on its promise and opened five new hotels during 2025. The launch of Kayma Hotel was communicated in three waves: first, in January 2025, during the announcement of the opening of five new Isrotel hotels, including Kayma Hotel; second, in August 2025, when they announced the opening of sales and hospitality at the hotel; and third, at the launch event which took place in October.
The hotel received broad and significant media exposure across all platforms: television, websites, and daily print press. Articles were published in major TV news editions, and in tourism, marketing and business, consumer affairs, lifestyle, and business gossip sections. The launch event was attended by 20 journalists from the print and digital media, and two filming crews from leading news editions in Israel. Overall, it generated 47 media appearances, which contributed to strengthening and fortifying Isrotel’s position as a leading, stable, and innovative hotel chain within the Israeli hospitality and tourism industry.
